Pant.  Just took Echo for a one mile jog with the bike.  Pant.  First time for her with a bike and first time that (Pant) I've been on a bike in decades!  Pant.  Recipe for disaster but she took to it like the good girl she is.  Pant Pant.  I'm too old and way too fat for this!!!  My knees were rubbery when we stopped.  LOL.  I've always heard the term before but never experienced it.  LMAO I am sooooo out of shape.  Guess who's putting her fat ass on a diet...starting tomorrow.  LOL
Pant pant pant.   Can't help but feel good about having lived through it tho.

LOL Raymond...no I was not pushing the bike...I was riding it.  I'm going to order a springer for my bike so that it's more dog friendly.  Echo really took to it well so I don't think I will have a problem with her.  Yes I intend to keep us both in shape...even if it kills me.  Thanks for the encouragement.

I have tried several  garage style contraptions affixed to my bike !Springer is by far safer and more effective! I was just funnin ya about pushin the bike! It takes all one can do to pedal and guide and be on the look out for other dogs and hazards while riding with your dog! It is amazing how much ground and different  scenerios you can encounter while biking with your dog!Oh the dog owners who look at me stupid  when their un leashed dog runs out and  barks at us just feet from us1 then they act like it's your fault for coming down the street with a dog attached to a bike! And when you ask them to take controll of their dog  I get the strangest stares!

DebiSue - I have been  training for the AD as well - but I have to say something on the Springer.. I am sure alot of people use them but to start I have to say - just use the leash in your hand until you know for sure if a dog runs out on you and your dog,  that your dog isn't going to pay any attention.  If he is hooked to the spinger - he could take you with him and you could get hurt really bad.

My experience was alot of dogs charging us - he is now use to it and doesnt pay any attention - but that wasn't the case at first.

I so agree about dogs charging out. The worst around here is that all of the farmers don't believe in keeping control of their dogs. I'm working on my CC permit. Here it is more then legal to eliminate dogs that are coming after you while walking or riding on a public street.

Good squirt gun with amonia will do the trick with charging dogs or put amonia in one of those drink bottles with the sip nipple on top those work well also.

Bob you must be really talented if you can ride a bike (holding the handlebars )- hold a dog leash and squirt a charging dog with a squirt gun and make sure your dog doesn't flip around and charge back...

What a man...

With amonia you don,t have to be talented just close it,s kinda like a grenade. Course I cheat I,m not peddleing i,m riding a 4 wheeler. If I were on a bike it could be no less then a Harley... If it were a Schwinn It would need a seat the size of a pontoon boat...for obvious reasons!!!.

I have always felt the AD ought to be like airline frequent flier programs. For every 4 you do you ought to get one on the house.
