Anybody else doing it? My eldest thinks it is the greatest thing. He says the dog understands, "Wait!". And he kind of uses his body weight to start a turn and the dog is kind of following along. He uses a flat collar when he wants the dog to pull him. Dog seems to love it! Any tips for him? Pictures? Warnings?

I used to roll blade with my rotty, until one day he end up passing from behind on the wrong side and moved quickly in front of me to my right yanking my legs from under me with a leash. I landed flat on my back, knocking the air out of me...he was licking my face while i was trying to breath...it took a few minutes to get up..he did a great job keeping people from helping me while he smothered me to death..LOL...he was a great dog...but after that i never bladed again..i was afraid that next time if i hit my head or break my back no one would even be able to get to me to help...

My oldest takes our big guy rollerblading, we have a bungie type leash with a ski handle on the end ( its ment for pulling) he is on a leather 1 inch collar. I don't incurage pulling, but they do go together and yes sometimes the dog is pulling a bit.

I used to skate with the "Urban Anamals", a group of roller skaters that skated late night in down down Houston TX. I didn't actually join, but had lots of fun as part of the fringe group. These folks were crazy. There were many specially bred "skate dogs" that were trained to pull skaters. The dogs were Great Dane x Pit Bulls - all were huge and freaking crazy! What a wild part of my childhood!
