Look up building dog kennels online. Lots of info available. Find one that fits your needs and costs. Some that are there are Purina, Leerburg, and many more. That's what I did

There have been more than a few threads on here with different ideas. Use the Search Messageboard function,  like I did to find this one for you:

Be watchful of regulations where you live, many municipalities have a minumum square footage per dog.
I'm thinking that the latest trend is for kennels to be a minimum of 150 square feet - even for min-pins!

I wouldn't use wood floors, unless you're talking about a removable wood deck made of cedar. Most woods breed mold and are hard to clean. If I was to use a permanent wood floor, I'd cover it with a rubber mat to fit and silicon the edges. I would find out what Kennel panels/fencing first. That will help yo figure out and design the kennel. Is it just an outdoor, indoor/outdoor? Just one run or how many? I built a kennel a while back and I barely use it anymore. Maybe if we go on vacation, etc. mine is an indoor/outdoor kennel. The building is 20'x 8'. The indoor runs are 6'x 4' that has a guillotine door to the outdoor runs that are 6' x 18' and covered. There are three kennels. All interior runs are rubber covered concrete with a drain in the middle. Outside runs are concrete draining into a trough that leads to a dry well. If I had to do something different, I'd have put block walls between the outdoor kennels to seperate the dogs more. Also I would have made the building bigger and I would have moved into it with a wet bar and a 50" flat screen!

Don't laugh. I have actually thought about adding a wing onto the kennel. More of a kitchen area with a fridge, bath tub, sink etc. But since I don't use the kennel much these day, it hasn't been built. Plus I have an empty 30' x 40' pole barn that is empty next to the training field. Thought about making that a kennel/clubhouse. Guess I better start breeding 20 litters a year to finance my dreams!
