Just curious, have any of you guys used this food for your dogs? If so how did they do on it?  And what about Blue Buffalo? I'm looking at getting a different food for one of my dogs, he's not doing as good on Taste of the Wild as the rest of the guys are.

I ended up getting a bag of the 4Health lamb and rice. (I had a credit at Tractor Supply and decided to get a bag of food.) The ingredience are very similar to the Kirkland (Costco) dog food. The one thing I did not like about the 4Health is the smell of it when I opened the bag..  It looks like a good food.

I switched from Blue Buffalo to 4Health. My six GSDs have done well on it

Switched from TOTW to 4Health a few months ago because it is a bit cheaper around here.  My dogs have done very well on it and they seem to like it.  I still like TOTW better and will go back to it eventually, but for now I'm happy with 4Health.

Jyl,  someone I know feeds Kirkland and has had good results with it, so if it's similar I'll give it a shot.  I don't have a Costco membership and I don't care to go to Nashville every time to get food so we'll see how 4 health does for him.

alaman and hallix how much more did your dogs have to eat to keep their weight up on 4 health compared to blue buffalso or TOTW? Or did they eat the same amount?

I read about 4Health on their website. Sounds like a mom and pop company. Then while talkiing to the guy at Tractor Supply, he said theat it comes from Purina. That surprised me and turned me off. I don't think it will be around long enough to bother.

I know Hallix very well and I also switched from TOTW to 4Health. Lukas eats about the same amount as before being 2 cups twice a day. He is doing great on it It's not my top choice but like said, it's a bit cheaper and they do just as well on it.

My shepherd eats about the same, but it did put some weight on her.  I actually had to feed her MORE TOTW than 4health to keep her weight up, but she's always had a faster metabolism.  Panda, my acd, I have to feed a cup less a day because she puts on weight VERY easily.

Hope this helps,
Haley

I just started on two females on the 4Health. I did not know that it was by Purina. I thought that this food is the Tractor Supply Comany's brand of food. Any how the ingredience are very similar to the kibble that I was feeding and since I had a credit at TSC I decided to grab a bag. If the dogs do not do as well on it as they did on the other food I was feeding I will switch back.

Lamb and Rice Kirkland in my experience is the best food for the price...$24.99 a 40 pound bag...and ingredients are better then most with ( i think its)  23%-24% protein...also one of my dog has food allergies (had him on blue, eukanuba and on some other food all gave him bad itch) so switching him to this brand cleared everything up and stopped the scratching, etc. .... I also slow cook leg of lamb (Coscto has it for about $20-$25) with carots, rice  and other vegetables and use that as a flavoring.....so overall its not too pricy and keeps them healthy.
