For finished that no SV-newspaper has: Statement of the Breed Registry of the German Shepherd Dog Association (SV) After the Breed Registry was in-formed that the dog "Nero vom Nöbachtal, SZ-Nr. 2080775" had covered bitches abroad, the SV managing committee decided to give the following advice to the relevant associations abroad, and moreover to the bitch owners in Germany. warnmg them of the offspring of "Nero vom Nöbachtal" which were born after the 9th August 20CK idate on which the offspring regtstration ban legally came into effect). The associations abroad were told that since vve have now dis-covered that the dog Nero vom Nöbachtal is to be used in their country äs a stud dog, we would like to point out that an offspring registration ban has been imposed by the SV on this dog since 09th August 2004. Therefore offspring from this dog, even if they are registered in their country in the breed register, will not be included in our breed register. This means that should an appli-cation be made for offspring from this dog to be registered in the SV Breed Register, it will be re-jected by us with reference to the relevant regulations. This means, de facto, that these dogs will also be banned from registering in the German Breed Register (breeding prohibited). In order to be able to register dogs in Germany in the Breed Register, it is necessary, in accordance with Paragraph 4.1.1 of the Breeding Regulations, that the parent ani-mals are themselves included in the SV Breed Register. The exhibition of these dogs is also not possible, since the SV do-es not judge the confirmation it-self, but instead gives a breed as-sessment, and in accordance with the conformation show ru-les, dogs which have an offspring registration ban imposed on them are not permitted to take part in conformation shows of the SV. This applies to all dogs that are fathered by Nero vom Nöbachtal after the offspring registration ban came into force. We would be grateful, if the fo-reign associations were also to decide to impose an offspring registration ban, since this would certainly be opportune in pro-tecting bitch owners."
