I was curious of what other people think because I think they are both phenomenol trainers and handlers. Just curious on what other people think as well. Dean has the experience but Mark is young and athletic and has been taught by Dean and other amazing trainers. I have trained with both and love training because of how much knowledge each have. So what do you think who in your opinion is a better trainer and or handler?

Mark apprentices under Dean...or he did!  So partly, Mark is who he is because Dean impart knowledge into him.

What kind of question is that.  How do you grade a trainer.  Do you mean which ones better at Schutzhund?? ?? Which one has more clients with high scoring dogs??  The only way to know is to go to each of them yourself and see which one you think is better.  Half of the posters on here have no clue about training anyway.

Feather, I have trained with Dean and Mark both and they are both phenominal!  When they lived here in Oklahoma I lived 45 minutes from Dean, Karla and Mark and they trained at the DVG club regularly!

They might be both great Im not commenting on them but I am commenting on asking whos better at face value.  The poster said one is more experienced.  My response is experience is overrated.  I know a few trainers who are 20-40 years of experience and are terrible.  One has titled many dogs but is a bad trainer, will yank a dogs head off and beat them into things if mad but still will find the tougher dogs and go on to the next one if needed and title the ones that can handle the training.  Dont act like you dont know what Im talking about.
I respond... ...you could be cooking for 30 years  but still be a terrible cook with bad tasting food.  Sometimes nobody will know the difference. If one trainer is less experienced so what, they can be better than the guy with 40 years of experience.  Dont take it just for the sheer number of dogs they titled or as how many years they have doing it.
