Dex: I want to comment on just two thoughts I had from your post on the "gay" dog thread.  But I don't want to post on that thread, anymore...

Actually, speaking as an USAmerican, I think we would abide by the majority, because we have a basic faith in: that the most people when allowed to think on their own, will know what is right. And we need our society. That's why we abide by the vote and many have died for that right, and it is a cornerstone of our strength as Americans. IMHO
What is the obvious aversion? Dex, is: the parts don't fit. Everything else is a workaround. I am not taking sides, just stating that, why would anyone want to to take the long hard way, unless you don't have to? Some seem to have to. What worries conservative, but not homophobe types like me, is not the fact that it exists, but how it is presented to children. That I think does matter. Again, IMHO

Beetree,

I see it as how is sex in general presented to kids. Believe me they already know young what they like and it has nothing to do with what they see and more to do with how they feel inside. Most kids IMO are not exposed to gays at the rate they are exposed to heterosexual people. So in that reasoning would they not be predisposed to be heterosexual?

I have never been the type to allow my children to watch any of the crap on TV or movies. Again pretty sure you will see way more heterosexual TV/movies than gay TV/movies.

Just my opinion and I still love you Beetree.

SP: The conversation is there! Every grade schooler insults each other with "You're gay!"  Of course they have no idea what that can mean, only that it is a put down. I do have to say something, but nothing beyond. It creates a problem, they are confronted with issues about sex, before they even know about sex.

All sex Beetree it is shoved in there faces turn on most any commercial. Walk into any store you have young women walking around with half there boobs and butt showing. It is wrong. I can post pics from the Walmart site that would leave you scratching your head.

It is all sex.  Kids do not turn gay because of what they see, it is because of what is inside. It is the same as Aaron do you think he saw a man and said I want to be a man no it is inside him. Sorry Mudwick for using you as an example.

Again kids are exposed to way more straight sex than gay sex so would they not be mostly straight?
