If you breed male GSD that is black/tan with blak/red female,
On the sire blood line their was black/tan and black/red dogs and on the female side bloodline was only black/red.

What color will the pups be?
Thanks in advance!

Thanks, but one last question? do you have any idea who is more dominate color - in other words will I get more black/red or black/tan ??

Female bloodline Black/red only!
Sire bloodline has Black/tan dogs and black/red dogs!

technically there is no black/red - black/tan, black/red, black/brown is all the same color according to SV standards.  But if one parent has redder pigment, he/she may give more red to all of the puppies - making the puppies more red than the tan parent, but less red than the red parent.  Or, puppies may be each different.  Hard to tell until you see them for yourself!

Sorry to bother you again, but when pups are born - at what week you be able to identify what color they are, meaning more red pigment or less red pigment! and how could you tell.....

Thanks again!

Please don't breed. At least not any time soon. Not trying to be mean.

With such remark - it seems you know more about my dogs :)

I know you never stated you were breeding. No, I don't know your dogs. I was more or less saying not to breed because you don't sound too knowledgable at the moment. No big deal. Everyone has to start somewhere. You have to understand that people come on here and ask the most elementary questions about dogs and they do intend on breeding.

The reason I was asking - is because I wan't a pup to look more like (Larus von Batu 2X VA1) - (Yasko vom Farbenspiel 2X VA1) - (Ursus von Batu VA1) and etc top dogs... Since I have the best top dogs on my pedigree!
