None of our females have followed their normal heat cycles this summer. In fact, none of them have come into season according to their schedules for June and July. All of them are free of any health issues and have been rested properly. Has anyone else had this same problem? Is there a possible solution or explanation? Are the high temperatures of the summer killing the cycles? Thanks.

has anything else changed in their life? did you add a new female? Have you moved moved? Dietary changes? New plant fertalizer or treatments? Is the weather the only thing that is out of the ordinary?

Maybe someone left the gate open and they don't want to 'fess up?
It is just a thought, this is when you wish you could get them to pee on a stick, eh jcarroll, if you're reading this....

I've had a similar experience. One girl had a mini heat cycle and never came back in and the other went almost 9 months between cycles. I've heard of other people having the same thing with their girls. Nothing in common that I can see. All fed different food, no geographical similiarity and different bloodlines. Go figure........

i dont know why your girls would not come in, you can never tell with females, i guess it could be a million reason why they are not in, i am sure they will come in soon.

i just bred my female that was due to come in heat the first of june. she didnt come in heat until the end of july. we bred on saturday and monday. i thought also that i had missed her heat cycle but luckily i didn't. i do think heat and other factors can affect the cycles but i am very new to breeding dogs.

Any number of stressful conditions will keep females from coming into heat, but they
are not Condors, that need absolute quite. For the most part they should be fairly regular.
Heat ( temprature) is just one factor.
