Sunsilver

Some of you may wonder just how Shilohs differ from the GSD breed that they came from. Well here's one difference...

On Saturday night, we were sleeping in a motel room with 9 Shiloh Shepherd pups corralled in the bathroom. I had to pee in the wee hours of the morning. I carefully stepped over the baby gate, and though a whole mass of furry bodies were jumping on me and clawing me, NOT A SINGLE PUP NIPPED ME!

We did have to ask for another roll of toilet paper, though, as we forgot to remove the roll from the bathroom when we put the pups in there!

Lol, if they were gsd pups you would have had to replace the toilet paper holder along with the roll!  Last time Brenna disappeared she chewed the holder off the wall then shredded the tp.

Well, we DID make sure the shower curtain and towels were out of reach!

There were these white ceramic caps covering the bolts that attach the toilet to the floor, and they did remove those. But on the whole, they were pretty civilized, for puppies.

With the previous litter, two of the girls figured out they could climb into the tub, and use that as their washroom. Needless to say, these two were pretty well housebroken BEFORE they went to their new homes!

Southernlove, a German Shepherd litter would likely have nipped my ankles and toes until they were bloody, especially if it were a working line litter!

So let me get it right sunsilver, Puppies with 0 drive= Shiloh's. Puppies with attitude= Dogs with drive and a chance of becoming a working dog as the standard calls for.  okay got it.

maybe they realized that you had to use the ladies room and out of respect they did not bite?

Bob, some people want prey monsters. I prefer dogs that aren't going to bite my ankles bloody at 2 AM when I need to go to the washroom.

So do most people.

My Shiloh has a lot a play drive, and loves to play tug, but she keeps her teeth off my skin. i prefer it that way, thank you!

Sunsilver I love you like no other women in my life, But getting bitten by puppies doesnt equate to prey monsters.

Once again another topic simply for arguement.

If you like what you created thats fine. It doesnt mean that everyone has too. So maybe instead of making a reference to the difference between GSD and shiloh, just simply share your story. That way you have a lot less conflict.
