If you are a Breeder, do you clean and tidy each puppy before the new Owner arrives to collect him/her?
Someone I know collected their GSD puppy, (from a Breeder with a good name), and the pup was in a right old state! Mucky blobs stuck to him and smelly! The Breeder did not bat an eyelid !

ALL MY PUPS ARE CLEANED EVERY TIME AFTER THEY EAT AS THEY CAN GET THE FOOD ALL OVER EACH OTHER AND IF THEY HAVE BEEN OUT PLAYING THEY CAN GET A BIT DIRTY SO EVERY DAY 1.2.3 TIMES A DAY THEY GET CLEANED AND BRUSHED ALSO A LITTLE WASH IF THEY NEED IT THAIR SHOULD BE NO REASON THAT A PUP SHOULD BE DIRTY OR SMELLY SOME BREEDERS JUST DONT CARE AND THINK WELL THE PUPS HAVE BEEN PLAYING WITH EACH OTHER AND ROLLING ABOUT SO THAT IS NORMAL FOR THEM TO BE DIRTY AND A BIT SMELLY BUT I LIKE MY PUPS TO BE CLEAN

Hello Shostring, Do you know I think this is one of those aspects about rearing a litter of puppies that some new potential Breeders also should consider. (As I imagine it is quite time consuming and fiddly)!!
I feel it also shows you taking a pride in the Litter that you have decided to bring into the world and rear. You are right there are some Breeders (considered 'reputable' too) who cannot be bothered, maybe particularly on the day they are leaving, because it saves them a job!
Glad to say any of our puppies have obviously been from folk such as yourself. They look 'spick & span'.
Regards,
