In other words, the airline violated its own rules? I thought there was an embargo on shipping dogs from May to September anyway.

The temperature all over the USA is the highest we have seen in years.. I thought so also. No shipping of dogs as the heat where they ride is way above normal even before the temp outside is considered.
Will be interesting to hear what happens or what the airline reports as the reason. Heat is number one reason for a dog to become lethargic and or fumes from some leak in the system emiting a dangerous chemical. Wonder what the other dogs conditions were?

Knowing the temperatures I would have never put a dog on a plane.
