Take him to a vet. There is obviously an underlying problem....

Does he live with these females? When you say you tried him with females explain better. Do you mean he has constant exposure to the females or just put together for a short time?

I had him checked out by my Vet plus took him to 2 other Vets for their opinion and all tell me the same give him time there is nothing wrong the tests came back good.

He is with no female , they don't live together, tried 2 outside females ( where tested before we tried ) and is the same thing.

At 3 yrs old,   Regardless, if he is around the females all the time or not, he should be showing SOME KIND of interest....What are the chances, that all the females have a problem that would prevent the male from showing interest.....I am assuming that the male is being put with the female at the correct time for breeding...Putting him with them too early or too late could be a possible reason for lack of interest...There could be so many reason for what you describe...A vet is the only person, after test have been done, that can give you a more reliable explanation.   Remember, here you will only get opinions, and they are ONLY OPINIONS....

Have you brought him to a reproduction specialist??

by brcc33 on 02 August 2010 - 17:08

I guess my next step will be to take him to a reproductive specialist and see what they say .

I would give him time. Some males are just slow to mature. I would take him to the reproductive vet but I will venture to guess he will find nothing. Is this male dominate or submissive?

Talk to a repro specialist. He may just have low or no sex drive... i would think this would come more and more of a problem as some dogs are AI"d and maybe these generations are continuing now
I have seen males, espcially ones which aren't really into other dogs live with females that are in heat and show absolute zero interest till the day she is ready and then breed a couple of times and leave em alone.
Those type are often more successful studs as far as getting the job done cause they aren't burning themselves out trying to hump everything in sight
