both beautiful states! My husband sid he wouldn't move there because there's nothing there. Exactly why I would love to live there :-)

Yeah, Stace, I'm with you. I hate how my area has grown up with people trying to make it like Ft. Lauderdale or whatever freakin' big city they came from.  I ran into a lady today that told me that is what she and others like her would like to do to this area. I told her she needs to move back to Miami if she likes it so much. I think the battle is lost on this, even though we have people running for local office that want to try and turn it around. The snowbirds here want growth and will probably get  their candiate in. The tide I think, is against us. ;-(

I've read how Steph lives in the Banana Belt where winters are milder. I think that's probably a good area choice for those who aren't keen on big winters or used to it anyway.  My heritage is from people who braved severe cold winters, but it would definitely be an adjustment after all of these years in the swamp. lol

Tell your husband that there are people there, just spread out to give some breathing room.:-)  I long for the open spaces!
