It's been a while since I've requested a scorebook and I think the application has changed somewhat. It currently requires a copy of the certified pedigree that is tattoo or microchip certified. If I have entered a microchip ID in the dog's information on the AKC site, will it appear on any new copies of his pedigree I order and if not, how does one go about getting it on there? Thanks in advance for any help.

I would call the AKC and ask them before you order a pedigree.

Keith,
You will need to order a 4 generation pedigree from the AKC. It will not have microchip info on it. The WDA site has the form for your vet to verify the microchip. You send that along with the original pedigree and a copy of the AKC registration to the WDA. I believe full instructions are on their website. You will also find the form for the scorebook application on the website. It all should be sent together. The pedigree will be returned with the certification on it.

Thanks, Debby. I had found the microchip verification form but didn't know if the AKC did something seperately. I don't remember this step the last time I ordered a scorebook but it's been 7 or 8 years and I've slept since then. Should be pretty easy to get done since my breeder is the vet who put the chip in.

Keith,
You're right. It is fairly new protocol. You are welcome.

Yeah just send it all in together, that is what I did. I ordered the 4-gen from AKC, then when it came, I sent it in with my tat/chip form signed by my vet and scorebook app. What I received back was the 4-gen pedigree now stamped by the WDA (mine has both the chip and the tat) and a scorebook.
