Hi all!
This is not a GSD's hips, these are Labrador Retriever hips, female 2 years old, no sedation.
The lab board is not as exciting as this one, it's a bit quiet, anyone have any ideas what she'll get for a rating,
Thanks much, not all the picture is included, her knees we showing and they were straight, you could see the tops.
The vet noticed an old pelvic injury, maybe a small fracture as a pup, seen on the right, he said that won't effect the reading.

I would like to see both sockets look like the one on the right side of the screen;  probably the left hip;  the one on our left side of the screen looks somewhat shallow in depth;  I say probably fair.

Legs need to be pulled down more to be straighter. I'd like to see the knees (angle) to guess a rating.

I think it's going to be good or fair, but definetelly an OVC pass.

You do realize don't you that OFA uses different standards for different breeds so since this is a lab the evaluation can be much different.

Go out and look at passing xrays in some of the smaller breeds and in bully breeds and you will see hip structures that in GSDs would be  labeled dysplastic.

Thank you all for your opinions,
I will post her results, I needed to post her hip x-rays here so I wouldn't be tempted to phone OFA and bug them,
the  position does look a bit bowed out, could have been straighter,
I have another picture that I didn't give them cause you couldn't see the knees, so I didn't want them to send it back to me,
 here it is.....

Hi Everyone!

I couldn't resist calling OFA today, the lady told me,

Excellent hips!   Normal elbows!    This is my first excellent, she's my 5th generation of labs, so exciting!

 What a relief......

   Thanks to all that commented!

I didnt know that... and think it gives far less credit to the observation......obviously size and so forth would be different..but standard should be across the board.

The xrays above are the same dog with two different shots?? The first shot one hip ball didnt appear so nice and round as it does in the second shot...in any case you ar good to go now:)

Congratulations
