It was a big let down and disappointment to find out our boy Dax wouldnt work out for us, since he retained a testicle and xrayed with serve HD. After letting time go by, we decided to try again. Here is the link to our newest hopes for the future..Definitely not from the same bloodlines nor the same breeder...Any comments and opinions are welcome.

That's awful about Dax. So sorry. Hey is that the puppy your daughter posted pics of? He's GORGEOUS.

Im not sure if she posted pics or not. She may have.. Dax was showing all the signs of being an awesome working dog. He had the biggest desire to please.. If not for the HD, his training would have continued. He was in too much pain at such a young age... only 9 months old...

Yeah, I remember that last photo. He is a LOOKER. I hope he works as well as Dax....Oh dear, are you saying Dax had to be put to sleep? That is so sad.

Unfortunately, yes he was put to sleep. He was brought to two different vets for xrays and both suggested that he be PTS..He was really in pain. We were so cautious with him, since he was such a big bone puppy, very thick and stout. We had to really keep his weight down and No jumping, Our vet suggested that since he was so young and was in such pain it was best to put him to sleep.. Poor baby was so miserable. He was hardly getting around much.. Talk about tough love...

Krys is constantly comparing Zapata to Dax. They are so different in ways, but so much alike in many other ways. However, I think time will heal all wounds and she and Zapata will click... I can see it happening already...

Actually that last photo on webpage was taken at 4 1/2 months old. There is another one taken at a younger age that looks alot like this older one. I'll see if I can find it and post them together so you can see the difference in age.
