One time I called such an ad and they wouldn't tell me name of kennel, so I just played dumb and asked what did the paperwork say for parents, they told me PART of the name of the sire (totally butchered the pronounciation) but I quickly Googled it, and up came the breeders site. When I emailed them a copy of the ad they were very grateful for the heads up, they did have a contract and they people had been telling them everything was great with the dog.

I've found many dogs being placed on CL bought from some very nice breeders. people such as PSD kennel in Mississippi, Klatolkin, and several texas breeders. even some imports are showing up.
its really sad.

Uber Land- it is sad, isn't it? As the GSDs popularity continues to rise we will see more and more people getting rid of pups that too much dog for them. This week's Advertiser (a local classified mailing) has someone trying to get rid their 8-9 month old female puppy from a very well known breeder for $500, and I know their prices start at about triple that and can go up to 8 or 9 times that. Clearly they bought spirited pup that is no longer little and fluffy and cute.
