I find it reassuring in some way that TV in the UK would allow such an honest glimpse into the character of the average or typical US citizen. While it would have been very easy to portray Americans as ignorant buffons unaware of anything but their own cravings, this segment allowed Americans to demonstrate for themselves their true nature. Personally, I was well pleased to see my countrymen respond so intelligently to the sometimes difficult questions asked of them. I hope this video segment helps dispel the myth than most Americans are entirely insular in their thinking and only vaguely aware of the world around them. Granted, there were a few mistaken responses, but overall these people did quite well, don't you agree?

I find it fascinating that Brits at a few times in the video reference WW2 questions while making fun of "certain" Americans. I am SURE THE OFFICIAL LANGUAGE OF the UK WOULD BE GERMAN IF IT WASN'T FOR AMERICANS.

USA came in Late into WW11 we had been fighting for 2 years before they came in, and only then because the Japanese Bombed Pearl Harbour,
Yes, the USA helped out they came in around Dec 1941, and the English were at it since 1939 but they did not win the bloody War for England,you insulting Bastard

I said no matter where you live in this world all the normal living people are the same they live there lives and they do not concern themselves with politics to any degree Just get on living it is the same in the UK or where i live here in Belgium just ordinary living people, No Mate they are not Fools or Silly the ones replying even if they did not know or were wrong in the answers they gave, they are just honest living Folk, but You Jerk Head have to make something out of it

I must say I typically appreciate your input here and read your posts. Also, please note I did not call you, or your countrymen names as you so eloquently stated above.
Easy fella..... everyone on here is entitled to their opinion. And you know the saying... Opinions are like... well you know the rest.
As far as WW2 goes I believe any history book will tell you our fighting force and sheer #'s helped turn the tide of the war. Google Invasion of Normandy, or WW2 and note the # of US Sacrifices.
I think it's funny, just don't appreciate broad generalizations about any population.

Yes, the Scots Irish and Welsh were as much a part of it all, my miskake of the correct word was made in anger of reading the Blk red Post, And by the way
the Normandy Invasion helped turn the Tide But in all Conficts It is never one sided all the Guys from Wherever they are,
are in it together IF you have fought yourself then you would understand what i am talking about
There is no Brits or USA or Belgians or Dutch fighters you are all in the same boat and if you are close to each other you watch each others backs the best you can no matter where you are from,
It was your ref to speaking German that got my Back up more than anything
By the way one of two Uncles died in that the other one earlier on
