Animal Abuse - Page 1

What do you consider animal abuse? Would you consider it abusive for someone to get a small dog that by nature isn't good with children when you have a child that is too rough on dogs and aggressive towards animals? Do you think it is abuse when someone gets a dog and says that if it bites the kid then they will shoot it or stomp on it's head (knowing it is a dog that is known for being nippy) and get another one? Would you think that it is abuse to stomp on the dogs head till it is dead cause it bit the kid that was torturing it causing the dog to bite the kid? Well this is the news that I just heard from someone I know.I told him that the dog isn't a good match for the family cause the kid is abusive towards animals and doesn't listen when told to NOT put their face in a dogs face, or to grab at the dog when it is eating. Someone I know and use to call a friend(till now) had a Dachshund and his kid is spawn of Satan. The kid was messing with the dog when it had a bone,teasing it and tormenting it.  The dog finally snapped and bit the kid.So now the dog is dead.My guess is it wasn't euthed nicely as that costs too much money. My guess, and I didn't ask cause it would just piss me off, is that he bashed the dogs head in or snapped it's neck.( and this is someone that works for animal control) I know some of you might think I am mean for saying this but the kid deserves to get bit.He is truly an evil child. This kid is going to be in jail before he can even drive!!! He doesn't listen to anyone.Spanking doesn't phase him...he almost seems to like it. Forget neutering animals it is the people that need it...people like this that raise kids to be idiots like the idiot parents themselves. THIS is just ignorance.A dog had to die cause of someones stupidity of not facing reality that the kid isn't right in the head and it isn't fare for a dog to be in that house.That dog didn't even have a chance to live cause it was with the wrong people. That in itself is abuse.
Sorry just had to vent. It annoys me that there are people that are just so blatenly stupid and an animal has to pay the price.

Killing an animal by any other means than a licensed vet humanely euthanizing is illegal and abuse.  If someone stomped on a dog they should be facing animal cruelty charges.  I would report it if I suspected, for it to be investigated.

Also, having a known biting dog around your children is (or should be) child endangerment or abuse.  If you bring a child to the doctor for a dog bite they will ask and record that information.

The problem is that the real sickos either don't take their kid to the doctor or completely lie about what happened.

The people who behave this way absolutely lack the insight to see that they (or their kids) are the true problem.

It's hard to report it if this person works for animal control or if you don't know the details.  I'd have to end the friendship mainly because I would never want my kids exposed to that kind of crap.

The kid sounds like it needs to be euthanized and the parents sterilized and sent to prison.

Poor, poor dog, I would imagine his little life was a tortured hell, and even as horrible as his death was, at least he will not be suffering at the hands of those assholes anymore.
