Does anyone have a two year old dog, titled or working on titles without a show rating, they plan to breed survey in the US?

Hmm.... strange question? Well, here we go.
2.5 year old female, has AKC title, working on SCH title, but has show rating, plan breed survey in December here in the US.
Close enough?

Elkoorr,
Not quite, your dog has a show rating. It can be breed surveyed. I'm looking at a situation I believe exists but need some examples.
Here's the situation:
As I read through the trial results, there are many dogs being titled in the US. Mostly working lines, that's great. When I go to the shows or look at the show results, there are not many working lines in the 12 to 18 or 18 to 24 classes.
I'm guessing and hope to find examples of dogs that spent their time training to trial and forgot about the show rating. If there are, and I suspect the're out there, these dogs are done. They can never be breed surveyed. Yep, the dog you just spent 3 years putting a title on and now hope to breed cannot be breed surveyed. For those that want to follow the SV system, your dog is never going to be accepted. Peroid, end of story, your dog is done after all your hard work.
I think I can have the organizations rethink ther process but I need examples to determine there is a problem. Any examples or are we all good?

Randy,
Why? Why can't a three year old titled dog go get a show rating and a breed survey? I get that they still have to get 2 breed surveys to be KKL for life, but I didn't realize their was an age cut off to get he first one. Please explain.

Dog1,
You can train and title a dog and later get the show rating and breed survey the dog. You will also need to resurvey the dog. A dog can't get a V show rating, until it is titled anyway. I'm not sure I understand what your question is. Someone that owns a working line dog only has to show the dog once to get a conformation rating, then the dog never needs to be shown again and can be breed surveyed.

Jim

over here in Belgium they are very keen to get a show rating early on, i am in fact looking for somewhere to take 12 month old Izzy to get her Show Rating and she will be entered into the 12 to 18 month old class, but these do not come around too often, Next week she will probably go for a Social Test first,
In Sept early she is just old enough to take her BH, then soon after the AD, then of course if she has done the Show Rating to go for ScHH1 and Korclasse before the end of the Year
if i can get all that done by the time she is 18 months old i will be satisfied with the years work

Doesn't the dog need at least one rating of SG or better to get a breed survey?

Hey Randy,
If you have the power to get the org.s to rethink stuff ........... how about getting rid of the second breed survey. Or maybe just eliminating it for Sch2s, 3s, and/or FH and HGH dogs. Thus throwing a bone ...... so to speak ........ to those that compete and/or add aditional titles to their dogs. There are a lot of dogs out there for which the second breed survey requirement is just ridiculous. IMHO

If this is about the German Korung, it is a all day event where a judge and breed warden
evaluate a dog's over all breeding qualifications. Including Courage and Conformation.
It is done twice, once at 2 years of age and once after 3years.
