Feeding should never have to be so difficult.  I've switched dry food three times.  Blue Buffalo was the longest used but I wanted a grain-free product.  So I switched to TOTW and then to raw.  Raw didn't work out logistically (long story) so I went back to TOTW.  Drake has had loose stools off and on since being back on TOTW.  He gets noting extra, besides bones periodically (which also doesn't coincide with the loose stool), so it can't be something else in his diet.  So, yesterday I went to buy food and they had Orijen.  I've heard good things about it and, even though at $64 it was almost $20 more, I bought it.  It's the first kibble that he's EVER eaten completely when placed in front of him.  He usually eats some, or even most, but will leave a bit in the bowl.  It doesn't matter how much I downsize his portions, he'll leave 2 pieces of kibble, but he al\ways leaves SOMETHING.  His dish has been licked clean with the Orijen, all three meals!  I'm hoping this continues and I also see it reflected in good, firm stool and nice coat, as others have commented when using Orijen.  I'd rather pay extra and know I'm getting a quality food that he actually likes and eats!  Hooray!

 Yay!

So glad to hear of your success. I too, feed Orijen with fantastic results. It's worth every penny in my eyes....

Everyone (especially GSD people) are always awe-struck when they pet my dogs. They're so soft and shiny.

Thanks Orijen!

(another good food is Innova Evo, I add a small bag to the Orijen every month to enhance flavor)

And in a few weeks you'll notice that your dogs coat is softer & shinier than it ever was before, his/her eyes are sparklier, & energy is boundless....I'm not feeding Orijen only because it was so damn hard to get, & I would have to switch off every time our supplier ran out, which was frequently, & I'd have to drive 1/2 way across the next state to get it. But my dogs absolutely LOVED it, & they looked so good, & all our little itchies, bumps, & problems went away, like junky ears, gone while using Orijen! It's great stuff. It even smells good, no crappy kibble smell. And now let's talk about poop! You'll notice that your dogs stools will become very small, tight, & almost odorless, & that they turn white & crumble away very quickly, a sign that your dogs body is using all that nutrition. And if you had problems with stool eating, that will stop, too, because the stools will no longer contain undigested food, & will no longer smell....well, tasty  to your dog. Really, they aught to pay me to promote the stuff, but they don't. It's just really, truly, that good. For adult dogs tho', the high protien encourages too rapid growth in pups.....so they say.....jackie harris

I can pay 95 USA dollars for 32lb bag of Orijen, but it really is top grade Kibble, at the monent MY 12 month old is being fed on Acana same firm Champion Pet Foods Canada, but in 4 months time she will be fed 50-50 Acana - Orijen
The new 9 week old Pup is fed Acana, Izzy grew up well on it and her hips and elbows are deemed to be normal not qualified results from SV though too early

I've been feeding my pup Orijen Puppy since I got him and he has been doing great on it.  When he get's kinda bored eating the same thing I spice it up a little with tuna fish water from the can when I make tuna salad or I buy a couple of jars of store bought gravy and add a few tablespoons for flavor.  Don't do this often (maybe once a week) but just enough so that it keeps him from always having the same thing.  I plan on switching him to adult Orijen when he's about 6 or 7 months.  Right now he just turned 4 months and weighs in at around 45lbs.

Well, this is the first time I've seen it at this place, also the only place where I could get TOTW.  It's a family owned place and they're pretty agreeable to requests.  They'll even take requests for special flavors or foods that they don't normally carry and then call you when it comes in.

I just raised a puppy to a year old on Orijen LB puppy food.  He looks great and grew at a nice, slow rate.  Haven't xrayed yet. My other dogs do super on Orijen and Acana.  When I can''t make the trip and have to purchase some Blue Buff, my allergy girl flares.  I will stock up next food trip.  I guess my more local suppliers are afraid their market won't pay the higher price for Orijen.

I also feed Orijen.    I also feed the Oma's Pride frozen raw mixtures but not in the same meal.    My high energy girl has good muscle tone and stamina.
