GSDtravels

This is horrible, I just can't imagine.  But I want to know why they're referred to as "attack dogs".  It says nothing of their training, or lack thereof.  Very, very sad.

I agree Nans. Still, any dog, any child, what a tragedy. And the worst part is, it was very avoidable.

*Why isn't the thread title automatically filling in?  What's up now?

Why is it less tragic because it's not a German Shepherd?

What would you do if you were witness to a child being mauled by dogs? I can't imagine anyone standing by and not trying to save the child. The owner was able to pull the dogs off in this case but it was too late. That would also be my first reaction to pull the dogs off. Is there any other option like doing something to distract the dogs? Every second is critical in a situation like this. Whar would you do?

Phil, who said it was less tragic because they weren't GSD?

What would I do?  In situations like that, I jump in without thinking.  I could never sit idly and watch something like that happen.  I'd most likely get torn to shreds, but I'd be willing to risk death, trying to save a child.

I'd TG is wasn't GSDs too.  Being grateful that it wasn't GSDs doesn't make it less tragic, I just don't know where you got that.
