Help with hip rating-I'm so confused!

I noticed a lot of dogs are hip rated A2-fast normal. According to the ofa chart rating A2 means good in European and Fast normal means borderline in Germany, so how can a dog be A2- fast normal? Do that mean they had two different results in two different countries or does it mean one hip is good and one is borderline? Just trying to learn!

Fast normal isn´t borderline, it is equal as you said to good or to B according to FCI.Borderline is C or noch zugelassen.

According to the ofa a German fast normal rating is the same as an ofa B. Doesn't B in the ofa stand for borderline?

According to that link A2 = OFA Good. I guess I don't understand the difference since A2 = Fast Normal? I always thought A3 (nz) was considered borderline.

Yes, A2 is ofa good, but what does it mean when a dog is listed as A2-fast normal?

Not sure but fast normal is not dysplastic.

A1 = a-normal. A2 = fast-normal. A3 = NZ. There is no direct affiliation between a-stamp and OFA.

Would an a1 be comparible to an excellent and an a2 to good?

the a-stamp ratings are not directly related/comparable to OFA. But <normally> a-normal would be OFA Excellent to good. a-fast normal would be OFA Good to fair (sometimes borderline). a-NZ would be somewhere between OFA Fair and mild HD.
