As I mentioned in the other thread, yesterday we took our girls to the Topline club show and breed survey. MY new puppy Pia von Jagenstadt, aka Fury, made VP3 (out of 7) with my daughter handling her. It was Lydia's first time handling in conformation! Then, in spite of my complete inability to follow directions as a handler (only my second time handling), her dog Boudica von Isengard earned SG1 (out of 3), and got a very nice critique from the judge.

It was awesome catching up with old acquaintances and even meeting some new PDB members! Topline always puts on a great show, the judge was wonderful and the whole event was run with such efficiency. You guys should run a Sieger show!

But we went for a double whammy this weekend. We just got home from the Lyons Township dog training club where my daughter finished her RA with Boudica, second place, score of 98. Well over 20 dogs in the class. I also finished my RE with my female Uzi von der Mausespitz, aka Tygra, with a very clean 99. Pretty nice birthday for Lydia! ;) Now it's time to let her open her presents then out to a nice birthday dinner.

Beautiful pics to come.

I can't say enough about getting your kids involved, it gives them confidence, poise, work ethic, patience and so much more!.

Congratulations! Nice weekend, and so much more productive than dealing with trolls. LOL

Very productive, Mystere! I even got a dental notation out of the way. Just kicking back for an hour or two before we head off for dinner.  I'd love to go out on the hammock with a book, but the neighbor's dog won't shut up.

The next thing I have to decide is do I want to punish myself by taking my nearly 9 year old dog for her CDX or just call her retired and focus on the new baby completely.

I would focus on Fury and let Ty enjoy some retirement. She has done you proud and is a great girl that produced some real nice pups that are working and doing good at it. Enjoy Fury and Boudi and working with Lydia. Happy Birthday to Lydia.I remember her when she was just a little girl. She has grown up.
