Interesting format this year, competition will be Thursday through Saturday. Sunday, the top 20 dogs from the previous 3 days will compete in B and C on 2 different helpers to decide the champion. What do you think,,,,good idea?

I guess I'd be a bit bored with it.
It's just like adding another qualifier to the championship, don't they already have those? You know, score high enough at certain competitoins to get a spot at the big show? why add another one?
I know it would never happen, but if they want to use the first competition as a stepping stone, then at least change the second one. Do OB and protection together, have a routine that everyone does to make it fair, but change it. Throw in a call off, blind search with the helper out in the open, an attack on the handler from the blind while doing OB, something.

doesnt look like world class helper work, all the drives have the dogs in prey dragging them along.

I like the idea. As a spectator it is great, as a competitor it may be another story, but also give a second chance to the teams to try to get on the podium. Will be interesting for sure.
Helper work, every country has its own style and as long as every dog is worked the same their should be no problem. Florian Knabl is a very good helper.
It will be interesting Germany first time hosting the FMBB since the 2005.
Wish I was their for this event.

i did not say they are not good helpers. A reattack and drive is supossed to go into and through the dog to put pressure on, not to make it prey so the dog doesnt feel the threat. If they drive like that im sure we wont see any dogs getting run off because it is not testing the dogs mental strength. It is not fair to the competitors that have truely strong dogs. Lets hope they test the dogs the way they should at that level.

What!?!? We are now going into shit talking about the helpers BEFORE THE EVENT EVEN STARTS?
Anyway the new format is a good idea, IMO. It stems from an attemt to weed out a dog that is having a fluke day, both good and bad.

Believe me, Bjorn puts plenty of pressure on the dogs for the re-attack. For those of you who haven't noticed, he turns stick side first (and shows the stick) and hides the arm on the attack out of the back transport, something that is never done here. He chased quite a few dogs in 2005, the last year that Germany hosted the event.

if they chase dogs with drives like in the vids. the dogs should of never made it to that level.
