Answer: Josef Mravik (Eurosport K9). I have an Ozzy Barnero son (Max; Czech) - hardest, toughest son of a bitch I've ever seen at a mere 27 months - a little dangerous - a dog with OBSESSIVE handler focus (yes, this sounds cliche, but is sincerely true in this case) who watches everything, everywhere he goes in relationship to me (the handler), CONSTANTLY, but with unfettered calm as if ice water is running through his veins. He is 'scary situationally incorruptable' and has a near terrifying, demonic intensity directing him. What makes him better than every other working dog I have ever seen is his evaluative skills - his decision-making speed and volition. Utterly resolute 100% of the time - VERY rare. Does NOT tolerate super hard corrections, period! But doesn't require them (a hard correction would be a mistake in handling by me and I work tirelessly to avoid it). If I were to go off the scale and address pure hardness as in 'plant security dogs' included, then yes, others could be harder I suppose. But I mean hard, yet livable on a daily basis. The idea that a dog can have no fear has always seemed silly to me, but this one is as close as it gets. No reverse gear in ANY situation, and his only weakness is in return drive (item possessive), however, we have overcome this (hard, hard work). On any given day I could take this dog to a club, randomly selected, and he would be better than every dog there. The only dog I've seen in the US that compares is Filo's dog Chico, and though I only spent a half hour around him, once, he got my attention, and for that moment, became my (momentary) benchmark. If I had to go to war - anywhere, I would pick my dog over any - a HUGE compliment coming from me since I am the harshest critic I know where every detail of temperament is concerned in a working dog - I constantly watch and pick at the corners looking for weaknesses in him, however tiny - none to be found; I've given up. No embellishment here - totally sincere. Hiking with this dog is hard, however - he hunts and kills raccoons for sport;-)

Just to correct you a little ,your dog is not Czech dog but Slovak import. His lines are Slovak and Czech. And his breeder aren´t Eurosport but Jozef Klima - kennel Morgantina.Eurosport are the ones you bought the dog from. http://www.morgantina.sk/rodokmen_MORGANTINA_M.html
However, congratulations to your dog,you must be very proud of him and I understand it - he comes from well known working lines producing great working dogs.I have Ozzy at the competitions a lot of times - and it´s been always a great pleasure to watch him.

Ugly dog - kennel Morgantina is a Slovak kennel, owner is Jozef Klíma,a well known judge.Sire of Maximilian is Ozzy Barnero - again a Slovak dog from kennel Barnero - breeder is Jozef Adamuščin,he did a great job with Ozzy,he took the 7th place with Ozzy at WUSV in Slovakia.Ozzy´s dam is Mischa Barnero, her dam Orna Ben-Ju,again a Slovak kennel Ben-Ju owned by Julius Benovič,the guy who handled more dogs from his own kennel at FCI and WUSV championship than any other breeder here in Slovakia - Norbo,Tea,Cak Ben-Ju.
Dam of Max is Fany Neresnícka dolina - Slovak kennel run by Miroslav Hvolka.
Czechoslovakia was not one nation - it was one country but two nations - Czechs and Slovaks since 1918.During the WW 2 ,there was separation - then the Czechs and Slovaks lived in one united country again till the 1st of January 1993.
BTW watch Jozef Adamuščin with his new competition dog Faro Demin Dvor at WUSV and FCI this year.

A truly hard dog is a good find no matter what blood lines Chez, German, Dutch you name it. Just hard to find these boys any more in any breed.

Got a youngster like this on my hands right now. He is hard, intense and demanding all at once. Fearless but cautious at the same time. Very aware of himself, very reactive yet clear (if this makes sense) But he also will lay at your feet or put his head in your lap for a cuddly round. He always has to carry something in his mouth and too lives in the house. Love him to death.
