I keep seeing posts and threads dissapear, what is going on lately? Is this board being actively moderated by someone or is there some type of a feature where you hit the "report abusive" button say 50 times that something is automatically deleted? Some of the things I've seen weren't offensive at all but were getting deleted, but yet other garbage stays up. What gives?

Gennie unless Oli comes here and tells us all what is the deal, all we have are guesses. And yes, I believe it is setup to automatically delete any thread or post that has at least 5 report Abusive hits. At 11:30 am, my time. I think this could be fixed if this capability we all have were limited to one report per thread/post per computer. Until then, it is useless to keep posting and starting these kinds of threads, every day.

That's what I thought, because some stuff is being removed just "because" for no reason, and I'm thinking it's due to someone just hitting the button x number of times. I'm sure Oli could set it up to detect is per computer/IP, because as far as I can tell this really doesn't seem to be moderated otherwise...though I could be wrong. Watch this thread go poof now lol.

Gennie, Its a troll(s) playing games. If they don't like what your opinion is, or if they disagree with you, or your ideas, than that person will sit there and hit the abuse button until it id deleted. I posted several things all pertaining to the GSD and 4 were deleleted within 3 days. Have you ever heard the saying, "If its too hot in the kitchen, than get out before you get burned"...? Well, getting out the kitchen on this forum is, hit abuse until it gets deleted, than you don't get burned....LOL!!
But don't let that stop you from posting and staying here. This is really a great place to learn as long as you can learn to ignore the trolls and ingnorance.....It can be difficult, but I have made my mind up, and I'm gonna ignore them....

Well, see Gennie, my 5th thread has just been deleted. That's 5 since Sat. Has anybody else have that many in that amount of time deleted... Boy someone has it out for me.

Are you serious? That's pretty pathetic...personally I'd rather the board be unmoderated versus having someone complain x amount of times and the post automatically be taken down. Like I said, some crap stays up while other stuff that is genuinely decent information goes poof.

Well if there are mystery moderators here, it would be nice if they came on and just let us know what's happening. Personally, I think it's the "Report Abusive" button being abused myself but would be nice to know if there actually is a set of human eyes looking at things, though in which case it seems those eyes and fingers are being rather selective as to what stays and what goes
