UPDATE: Shade and Reiki just won HIT and High Protection and High Obedience.

Big shout out to my buddy Shade and her buddy Reiki the working line GSD male who made all us "positive marker" type trainers proud once again today with a 97 in obedience and a 96 in protection (tracking tomorrow!) on Reiki's first try at SchH III. To watch Shade and Reiki is SO inspirational to those of us who enjoy having fun with our dogs and don't want to "beat them up" as part of our sport!

Shade's compassion for animals is fantastic, and her work with this big German shepherd male is a picture of a TEAM! Reiki is ALL dog - he not only won the SchH I championship at the AWDA Malinois Championships earning his SchH I (hee hee) but then went on to Win the SchH II Championship (DVG) for his SchH II and now is going for his SchH III today (and tomorrow!) I'm so excited!!! And, in his spare time, this tough ol' dog went and earned his CD and a FRENCH RING BREVET to boot! As soon as he and Shade get back from the AWDF championships in a couple weeks they are going for their Ring I title!!!!!

Shade - THANK YOU for showing us all what can be done WITHOUT A SHOCK COLLAR and with praise, good, clear instruction and a kind attitude. You are simply the best trainer in the NW, and maybe soon, who knows!!!!! : ) Good luck to you tomorrow and at the championships, and keep on keepin' on!

It is even more amazing when you realize that Shade has no real help training. She's a pioneer out here. She now has a good decoy, but she has had to do her own bitework on occassion!

Do you know the name of the sable GSD on the field with them at the same time?  Just wondering.

That was Rohan vom Aegis.   There were three from the same litter competing at that trial.

Congrats to Shade and Reiki!  My friend bred him and I spent time with him while he was still in the whelping box :-)  His sisters and brothers and quite accomplished as well.  It was a really nice litter.
