Hi,
I've been wondering about nematodes. I had heard of them and don't really remember what people have said exactly. I looked them up on wikipedia and they said they were a form of roundworm. Would my dog's get roundworm from them? Also, what do they do exactly? What do they protect against?
Thanks,
Haley

Haley,
Nematodes are worms....of which roundworms are a type of nematode. There are others that are significant in man and animals as well. You don't wan't nematodes and you don't want your dog to have them either.
Nematodes do not protect against worms, they are worms.
I believe you may be mixing this up with the term "nosodes". You can look this up. Personally, I don't put much stock in nosodes and a lot of the literature does not support the efficacy of nosodes. But some people would disagree.

Nematodes are a natural way to eradicate ticks from your property.

i remember a discussion about beneficial nematodes before and i saved the link to my favorites. just curious, though, if they are growing in the grass and dirt what happens if you have animals grazing there? would horses, goats, sheep and cattle then become infested with worms? i was seriously considering buying several hundred of them to get rid of ticks, but if grazing animals become infested from them ----maybe not such a good idea.
