I was hoping to find something a little more cost effective

For a cheap skate like you you have a fine attitude to talk about us Indians with an all encompassing generalisation.

I selected three dogs from out Western Europe and N.america(not Germany if I may point out).

One breeder deferred the export saying the 7 month old bitch (born to a good import mother) had a fast heartbeat(tachycardia, common in growing shepherds). He offered her for sale later but by the I had better dogs and bitches.

The second breeder said the adult Golden was not well. Tried to pawn off a second rate dog.

The lab pup(confirmed from a pic) is well a National class winning top champion.(you see I started with labs in 1971).

It's just to point out that there are bad apples everywhere. I did not get gypped because I knew my dogs and had friends abroad.

I have friends in England who I would trust my life with, I am sure such good people are in a vast majority.

Yes we have an extreme tropical climate but most of the countriy's top imports are boarded in the Nilgiri hills(where the world's best cuppa tea comes from) which have incredible cool temperate climate. This is where I am shifting to so that I can pamper my dogs, we don't lack commitment.
We can't all have Vancouver weather with 200 days of drizzle and the abundance of healthy negative ions that goes with it. A lot worse than Manchester too from most accounts.

Upon looking at the NASS photos and also different show line breeders websites announcing new litters and the males from Germany they are using, it looks like angulation in the Shepherd is becoming more and more pronounced. Do you think that this is the case?
Check you profile I am sure you will find my long answer to your query.

Whether you call yourself freeway or motorway in future, please Mister autobahn put your car in drive and VAMOS!
Not another word or we will have to search out your real identity !

I may not get a retraction from this pompous ignoramus, but I am indeed sorry if I inadvertently trod on any others' toes.

Not to be prejudice or anything, but why on earth would you want to sell a dog to someone in India? I know not all homes would be bad, but have you ever seen the for sale ads of dogs from India on here? Not all of them look like they have the best places to live or look to be in the best condition.

We are trusted to handle the accounts and call centers of a score of countries but not fit to have dogs shipped to, think again

"We are trusted to handle the accounts and call centers of a score of countries but not fit to have dogs shipped to, think again"

Just because greedy, traitorous employers move "customer service " to your country, doesn't mean you are good at it.

I can't count how many times I have been frustrated by "Mike" or "Bill" who doesn't have a clue what the issue is and the accent is so thick you couldn't bust it with a bat.  I ALWAYS end up being transferred back to the US.  Why employers are so stupid that they can't see saving a nickel with you people ends up costing many dollars in customer loyalty is beyond me.

Don't get me started on your penchant for letting children starve while there is beef on the hoof everywhere.
Pretty damn stupid as far as I am concerned.

And your childish threat to "shut up or we will search out your true identity"  should be reported to whatever company that is stupid enough to employ you.

Are we only supposed to get poisoned by your companies like the thousands who died in one day in Bhopal care of Union Carbide. What are your courts doing about it? Or is my country fair game when it comes to selling your genetically modified trash.

It's called globalization chum. Our people make a lot of multinationals financially viable and both parties benefit. It comes as higher dividends to shareholders in your part of the planet.

This is a thread about not slandering my fellow Indian breeders and about us Indians being highly trustworthy.

Looks like I touched a raw nerve but there was no insinuation about stealing jobs and so on.

Hence the last sentence on my post ".I may not get a retraction from this pompous ignoramus, but I am indeed sorry if I inadvertently trod on any others' toes."

You missed  the gist that in tropical climes the dogs don't look the same, however well fed and cared for they are. It is the same challenges shepherd breeders in North Australia also face.

Finally this is a wonderful website for the canine fraternity to disseminate info and interact, not to go around indulging in name calling a whole country. Oh and I don't work for any company and I am definitely not an unintelligent pen pushing desk bound person.

Blog all you want but don't hide behind a false front.

I can tell you are just a real sensitive guy.  I'll remember that. There are good and bad people in India though, just like everywhere else. Your country has its own unique cultural issues that come with differing beliefs present in one nation. It might be more successful, though, if you consider to educate, as opposed to annihilate another poster on here, to get your point across.  IMHO

Well, he's right that the original comment was a gross generalization, and that not all Indian people are any one way. Pretty racist. Vivek, just so you know, two of my favorite students are of Indian origin, and they love my dog. I don't think all Indians take poor care of dogs at all. However, I won't ship a puppy across the US, let alone across the world. But if I did, I would have American contacts to do a home visit for me, which I wouldn't have in India. So I wouldn't ship there. OR Italy or Spain or Norway.

HOWEVER, your post does answer one question--about why Indian GSDs have such short hair. I always wondered! DUH--sorry I'm so slow!

Vivek,

The post you cited by autobahn (a Canadian, btw) were racist and distasteful, but....they are OLD posts that you have foolishly resurrected.  WHY???

And to bring in the matter of outsourcing, which any IDIOT would/should know is a very sore topic with Americans was not only stupidly rude, it was clearly intended to be provocative.  Personally, I refuse to do business with ANY business that outsources customer service, because it is sending jobs oversees.  It is also the very antithesis of "customer service" to have customers confronted with a heavily-accented individual who could really give a damn about whatever problem needs to be resolved. So, IMO, it is a clear indication that a business could really care less about affording its customers anything remotely resembling service.  It is more like "customer kiss my ass, now that I have your money."

Finally, this is entirely inappropriate for a DOG FORUM.   You should have simply stuck to the issue of exporting to India, if that was indeed your concern.  Even then, why open up for the type of racist comments that would attract?

I wonder what the HELL you were thinking!

Mystere,

You Go Girl.......... Antithesis, Hagelian terminology, very cool.
Custermer kiss my ass, now I have your Money, was my favorite.

Viverk,
there are days you do not want to mess with Mystere, and subjects.
I think you just hit on both of them.

I understand Vivek's frustration with the racist comments.  But, I see no point in resurrecting them, nor in going out of the way to antagonize Americans in general because of such posts...which were made by a CANADIAN, not an American.   So, his entire premise and reason for being so offensive is misplaced.

He's  gone out of his way and pissed off people who agree with his sensibilities about the racist comments by virtually attacking every American with one of the most offensive "hot-button" topics in the country.  It's right up there with the immigration mess.  And Vivek stepped right in it.
