i don't usually start threads, but there is something that has puzzled me for a long time.  every few days someone is posting a RIPPED-OFF BY SO-N-SO thread.  how on earth do you all find these people?  90% of the time i have never even heard of them.  are you finding them on craig's list, petfinder, pets4you?  seriously, where are you getting these contacts?  i think it might be helpful for some folks to know where NOT TO LOOK, so they can avoid these pitfalls.

i guess i don't read the ads that much, but right here on PDB?  could it be because a lot of folks use screen names when they post ads and you don't really know who you are dealing with?

I bought my new puppy based on a PDB ad, and I am 100% thrilled with her. I have advertised puppies here as well. You have to be an educated buyer no matter where you look, period.

i guess i pretty much know who has the same bloodlines as i do and who is interested in the same kind of dogs.  over the years i have been in contact with many of them.  i guess i pretty much stick to that group of people.  it continues to baffle me, though, when i see these threads because i am wondering where in the world the poster has found these breeders that they are complaining about.  i honestly have never heard of the majority of them.  i was curious where they are advertising.
