My 6 month old Sint Bernard has begun to drool excessively when he is sleeping....he is lying in a puddle of saliva & is wet on the side of his head , shoulder ,... he was tested for meningitis, they did a gastroscopie , a bloodtest , but nothing was found... He is happy & playfull and is eating well , he is however teething , for the moment he has 4 fangs ( the new ones have come out but the puppyteeth are also still there )
The clinic has no answers for me...does anybody have experience with this problem ? I'm worried because I don't really know what is wrong with him , he is our baby and just as our other 2 dogs a rescue dog . Can somebody ease my mind pls ? maybe you have had the same with your puppy and it's over now ?
Thank you in advance !!!

Hi number, hopefully it is just because he is teething. I love the St. Bernard's. We had one when I was growing up, and they do drool excessively, but maybe not as much as your boy.
If he is happy, eating well with good stools, hopefully the excess drool is just because of the teething. All the best!
