I think it was their first time with the ball too, because none of them brought it back the last time. The one got it then left it at the tree, I think.
Maybe they just got these dogs and wanna start training them something ?

There are many different opinions on what is correct and incorrect bitework. Plus you have the differences in training for ppd, estate gardian, service k9, schh, PSA, etc.........plus you. different level dogs, different mentalities of dogs, different styles trainers prefer etc..... so there isnt one correct way per say.
However this is a bad example for many reasons. These dogs are still very green and yet there is no agitation before bite, no progression to the sleeve, the sleeve is being fed to the dog, he is hitting the dog with the sleeve to get him to bite, The dog will not bite, the grip was poor as well as the dogs targeting, the helpers form was no existant, etc.........
Im sure there is more i just thought i would throw a few things out there for you.
Im sure some people on here would be so kid as to show some of there training clips to get a better idea of how training is conducted. But in the mean time here are a couple pics of my puppy at 7 months. you tell me which one you would rather have protecting you. This puppy or those showling shepherds in the video that wouldnt engage.
