I never quite understood why pets needed annual vaccinations. I never received a booster against any of my childhood vaccinations.
I now have a beautiful GSD and 3 lovely indoor cats and we only vaccinate when absolutely necessary. I don't believe that the current annual dog vaccination schedule is necessary. It may line the pockets of the vaccine manufacturers, but it is not the best option for our beloved pets.

There has been much research on the subject.. all one needs to do is google Dr Jean Dodds and Dr Ron Schultz who have done and are still doing studies in this field specificallyonthe Rabies vaccine right now but there are new guidelines for most previously considered "annual" vaccines...
You will find tons of info....
Although there is a need for the puppy series (just like kids) and that one years booster... it is smart to research the scientific evidence and make decisions based on your area/region and the disease found there
