I just received this email (edited it) and thought I would post it here in case anyone is following this case:
------------------------------------------------
Hello,
Has everyone heard Buddy's story? German Shepherd/Blue Heeler mix, stolen from the family that loved him and brutally dragged to his death (at the Colorado Monument, early morning of 12/30/09). There will be a candle light vigil at Buddy's memorial stone. Info below....
Tuesday, April 27, 2010
Time: 7:00pm - 8:00pm
Location: Roice-Hurst Humane Society
Street: 3320 D-1/2 Road
City/Town: Clifton, CO
Buddy's killer has spent the past 4 months in jail. He will be pleading guilty on April 29th. Scheduled to appear before the judge at 3:30 pm.
Alfred A. Arraj Court house
901 19th St.
Denver, Colorado
People who support Buddy plan to gather (PEACEFULLY) outside the courthouse at 2:30. if you are around the area, stop by to show that you feel the punishment for intentional animal cruelty in Colorado needs to be enforced and the penalty should fit the crime.

No matter what he gets, it will never be enough. I wonder what the girlfriend will get. Both of them real scum. Wish I could be there to support Buddy. Dunno that I could stay peaceful tho. Best not to get me started on this.

I plan to send the judge a letter, rather than "sign" a petition. I want to emphasize the connection between animal abuse and child abuse; animal abuse and domestic violence; animal abuse and [know/captured] serial killers; animal abuse and violent rapists... You get the picture.

Thanks for the update Hodie!
Great idea Mystere, too bad the letter wasn't online and others could sign it, to support it, like an organized petition for the judge.

I hope they both get the maximum penalty. Of course the criminal wants to blame it on an "anger" problem, and needs medication. What a cop out! No way should that release him of the horrific responsibility of that dog's cruel and deliberate death. I hope the judge sees through that BS, come sentencing day.

Yes, I read that and almost vomited. Seems these people, Bartmess as well, think such excuses work. I doubt that this judge will buy this slimeball's excuse. And yes, his sister, whose court date is in several weeks, should get a stiff penalty as well.

I don't care if he has an anger problem...I have just the fix for it...how about a nice long drag behind my pick up truck. Bet he wouldn't have any anger issues when I got done with him. Same for his scum bag of a sister. I can find enough rope for the both of them. Thanks for the update Hodie. I'm keeping my fingers crossed they nail them both with the max!!!
