What's up with the sagging toplines on American German Shepherd Dogs?   I see page after page of websites showing American German Shepherd Dogs with "hammock backs".  No, I don't like the "roached" or "humped" backs which some German dogs have either, but  I find that at least tolerable.  The apparent weakness in the back allows almost freakish extension of the fore assembly, however it is not correct.  There are dogs with proper backs and secondary sex characteristics who can sidegait with the incorrect dogs.  These correct dogs are also correct coming and going.
