Hello,
It is not hard to register the litter at all.
You will need the certification from the SV showing change of ownership before whelping.
You will need the SV breeding certifcation showing that the breeding did occur.
Register the female with AKC first. When you get the AKC registration back send in the DNA. Make copies of the DNA paperwork and send the litter registration form to the AKC via mail. Make sure you send a copy of the SV breeding certification with your litter paperwork. If you try to register a foreign litter online it creates problems.
I registered my dog and litter this way and had no problems it took 8 weeks from start to finish. You will be the litter owner on the AKC records the owner at the time of breeding will be listed as the breeder of the litter.

Sitasmom Is this a dog you are importing from Germany or from a different country? if your bitch was not imported from Germany and is therefore not registered through the SV, you may want to call AKC and ask them what documentation they will be requiring.

I bought Hanny in whelp from Eurosport in Slovakia, she had her litter here. Hanny was registered with AKC she whelped.
Now I need to register the litter.
I have a piece of paper that verifies the stud dog, if that matters.
The stud is still in Slovakia.

After your female is registered through AKC, and you have the DNA, you will need a certified copy of the male's registration papers, along with the breeding certificate to submit to AKC for a foreign litter registration.

Check out the AKC site for details. The AKC office is really helpful, too.

OK I spoke with the AKC and have all the steps for registering a litter from a forign bitch that is in whelp and sent to the US
After recieving the export pedigree
the female must be registered with the AKC and DNA test must be sent in.
Then the litter can be registered
then puppy can be registered
To register the dam
Fill out a foreign registration
enclose 2 photos
copy of their export pedigree and
foreigne pedigree
and send to the AKC
Turn around time is form 4 to 6 weeks.
Then
a DNA sample kit must be submitted to the AKC -
this can be done at the same time as foregoing registration, but must be mailed separately they go to different PO Boxes.
Turn around time is 4 to 6 weeks
Next
Fill out special litter form - to be filled out by all parties. Owner of bitch at time of stud service, owner of stud and the new owner of the bitch.
Enclose copy of Sire's pedigree with at least 3 generations
kryci list that's stamped by the kennel club - this proves the breeding and of ownership of stud at time of breeding
to be sent all in one enevelope.
Turn around time is 2 to 3 weeks
Next
puppies can be registered on-line.
Certificate will be mailed
Pedigree can also be mailed
Turn around time is 2 to 3 weeks
Can ask for rush order...... to reduce turn around time.
If puppy is older then 6 months there is a late registration fee
also if you need it done quickly there is a expidite fee.

I don't understand why you didn't call the AKC first. Oli pays a lot of money for bandwidth. Why are you wasting it for such siilliness? I'm not trying to be rude but you are a broker and should know these things. It's common sense and good business relations. How can a buyer trust that you know dogs if you don't know this? Any dog born on American soil goes to the AKC if eligible by FCI standards. Foreign dog department handles this.
