Jackal73

Have any of you had the experience of seeing a photo or an ad on here and having a jolt of recognition?

This ad just came up for me, and I actually looked down at my dog.  Yes, he's still there.  If I didn't know better...

This other dog looks to have a slightly wider muzzle, actually, but otherwise I'd have a hard time saying from the photo that it's not my dog!

The photo really IS your dog.  I took your dog while you were asleep.  I took the photo and put him on the board just to mess with you.

Then why is he currently lying on my feet?  Is he a Doppleganger?  Should I be frightened?!

...

It was a very strange sensation, though.  I wonder how much the seller wants for his dog... not that I need two!  One is quite enough!

Of course he's there. I brought him back before you woke up.  FYI  you really snore loud.

Your dog is much prettier! But the resemblance is canny!

That dog looks like he's excited about having his picture taken!

:D (I also want your transporter, because to get him to Florida you'd take him almost the length of the continent. I want one of those!)

Thanks. I think Falco's very handsome, and has a nicer head than that dog, but I freely admit I'm biased! (Seriously, Falc's the nicest looking GSD I've ever seen in person. A breeder might say that his head isn't masculine enough because it is very androgynous. From just his face you couldn't say dog or bitch, because he's not markedly masculine or feminine -- but I find him very beautiful. That other dog has a much broader and heavier head.)

That dog looks like he's excited about having his picture taken!

That made me laugh too. There's been a time or two I've taken a picture of the dog, thinking it was very nice, and then noticed that maybe I shouldn't be showing it to people after all because on closer inspection the dog was a little excited about life! :D

Your dog does have a much nicer head, Jackal. That dog's ears are set too far out to the side, and it makes him look rather unattractive, well, to MY eyes anyway!

It is what it is.   I have to deal with my bitch in heat and wearing diapers, those with males have to worry about the "rocket's red glare".  I'd rather people share their pics and not worry about it.  We all know how it is.
