Also to take this one step further; Bomber von Wolfsteim (please forgive my SP) is black and all I have seen out of him is Black puppies; So black to black only produces blacks or black and also bi-color?? Thx NAn

When a solid black dog mates with a black/tan dog carrying two black/tan genes then all the puppies will be black/tan.
If the black/tan dog has a recessive bi-color gene some of the puppies can be black/tan and some can be bi-color.
If the black/tan dog has recessive black gene then some puppies can be black/tan and some can be solid black.
For better understanding of color genes research the subject in old threads and read Eichenluft replies.

As far as Bomber, it looks like an awful lot of solid black bitches are being bred to him, but he does have non-black puppies. Check out this page: www.working-dog.eu/kinder-details/38773/Bomber-vom-Wolfsheim
