This is one of my males. His name's Raven. He's a long stockhair, mostly a pet, but we do Schutzhund training. He's taken to it very naturally, and just started doing distance bites. Raven's all play, not "prey", drive. He's the most cheerful dog I've ever worked, does it for the sheer joy of it, and he bites like a bear. He's also very calm (I've brought him to work), great with kids, and adores puppies.
He's my hobby dog: a delight to work even if he's not a priority, and sweet, gentle friend.

A dog after my own heart! If you don't mind, could we see the pedigree. I'm particularly interested in the DDR lines. Don't know much about the czech dogs,YET!

These 2 dogs are 1/2 DDR , 1/2 german showline. Great dogs with great temperments.

Pedigree, aw, what the heck. In for a penny, in for a pound.
Raven's pedigree is www.pedigreedatabase.com/gsd/pedigree/556307.html
I also have his half-sister-niece Xtian (pronounced "Christian"). She's a melanistic bicolour as well, but stock coat, and more drive. Raven's a big goof, Xtian has natural focus. No good pics of her yet, but hopefully I'll have some soon. www.pedigreedatabase.com/gsd/pedigree/645032.html

Well, I just love your Raven! My boys would, too, of course to them he would serve as part rug and pillow, they would just love him to what we call, " the point of over-squishing".

Oh I love that term, Beetree! I'm going to have to remember that one. I'm not sure it's possible with Raven, he is just ripe for hugging. My original intent for him was possibly a "reading dog", considering how he's perfectly content to just lie there. I thought it'd be a great way to help dispel the myth of the big bad scary GSD.
