Does anyone know if Dutchies are an eligible breed for Schutzhund competition and listed under the FCI as such.

Can't say I have seen them listed in tournament results and interested to know where the breed stood in regard to Schutzhund sport???. Dutchies are not eligible to trial under Schutzhund Australia which is FCI based, but wondered about their status in other countries.

Thanks

Dutch shepherds compete in schutzhund in the US. You may be more likely to see them in trial results from DVG trials than USA trials, but they are on the trial fields.

My dutchie Astra was listed as a mix in USA Schutzhund. She was not registered.

There are FCI registered Dutch Shepherd, then there are KNPV bred dutch shepherds. Two completely different animals.

As for competition, I am not a Sch guy but if the dog is registered FCI or AKC, I don't see why they would not be able to compete, no matter what country. As for Australia, I would double check your info and make sure they are not meaning the KNPV Dutch Shepherd cross dogs are what they are talking about.
