New Pic of Oakley - Page 1

I should have just tagged this one on the end of the last update thread I started, but I decided that I didn't want to look for it...I think it's about four pages back now.

This is one I just took a few minutes ago.  These days I don't carry my camera around a whole lot, don't take many pictures, so when I get the chance to get a decent one and the camera is actually near at hand, I snap it.



Oakley is finally starting to develop a little bit of territorial behavior.  She's starting to bark at people who come into the yard, though she is not aggressive with anyone.  That's good...Both of the dogs warning people that they are here, even if they wouldn't bite.  

She's doing very well, but with all this warm weather we're getting, you can see she's about ready to start blowing her coat...I'm not looking forward to that.  I guess it's time to start daily brushing!  And I need to clip her nails again...They're getting a bit longer than I like to see.  Her left ear is still a bit weak; I guess it'll never be straight completely, but it has improved with her chewing on lots of bones...Her teeth are snowy white!   Her birthday is coming up in a couple of weeks...She's almost a year old!

Got to run...I hear my taxes calling my name, like a bad dream that won't let you go...Sooner I get them done and off to the accountant, the sooner I can be outside all day, playing with my dogs, kids, and garden!  LOL.

If I were you and with such a beauty of a dog I would carry my camera on me all the timmmmmmmme.

She is gorgeous, very regal.  And I agree, get more pics!

She is so beautiful! I think it's cool the way she always looks like she's trying to figure out what's going on, but then with her eyes I guess she is! Well, there's the silver lining! 

See, I would carry my camera with me more, but now that it's warming up, I'm down to wear shirts that don't have those big pockets.  The last time I carried my camera outside with me for more than a snapshot like today, I stuck it in my shirt's breast pocket and dropped it on the road.  Too many such impacts are bad for electronics, and so I don't carry it much with me.  I'm not a fanny pack carrier, and I rarely carry a purse, so I have no safe way to carry it when I'm outside.

Just the same, Oakley uses her ears as eyes, and so yes, she is staring straight at me.  She's very alert. 

I'll get as many good pics as I can, but I don't usually have the camera on me.

She is gorgeous Crys!  There is that look of eagles everyone is always talking about.  Very regal indeed.  Can't wait to see her and you in person in June!
