I came across this picture recently and loved it (Stephanie Mueller and her German shepherd dog 'Caspar' jump during a dog show in Dortmund May 2, 2008, courtesy of Reuters.com). The above picture was of me and my dog, Royce of Wynthea, many years ago.  He was my first good shepherd and was out of an American Champion, Dot Wall's Vance and a German Youth Siegerin, Xanta aus Kattenstroth.  "Rory" had a successful career in AKC obedience.  Barb

Thank you Sugarplum, he is the dog that got all of this started for me, along with Wynn Strickland.  He was always happy, always wanting to please, and motivational training was the only way to go with him.  He shaped my training behavior for all dogs to come and I am so grateful to him.  His portrait in pastels, presented to me by an obedience training club, hangs in my bedroom wherever I live and he is an inspiration to me still.  Hope to see him again someday,  Barb

BTW Sugarplum, there was a tribute to A-Tim posted recently to the song Bright Eyes.  "Bright eyes burning like fire"--your dog has them!  Barb
