Got an email today, the owner has begun hospice care for a terminal parent and is overwhelmed. The dog has been started in protection, Schutzhund, and on the sleeve. It's not my dog, but pictures and pedigree info are in the classified section at www.germanshepherdworld.org

I know several that have emailed Dawn and got no reply.SO  maybe the dog is already spoken for. As of noon today still no answer to the email that was sent about this dog.

This man has spoken his intent to take the dog and no response.Sometimes makes me wonder ,why do they put ads like this on forums if no one is there to answer,  the man is very upset that no one answered back to him and his friend who also stood in  ready to take the dog. nd he will work the dog and knows the bloodline.

Makes me WONDER?

We all want to help but He who helps himself first is usually the ONE who gets the job done..Maybe this lady has found a home , but ad needs to come down. if so.

I was in the same boat over a year ago with my horses and my dogs, not  to many people will step up and help. They would rather put you down with words instead of just be there.

just thinking

Very nice looking dog.  I'm surprised she is just giving him away.

Hi, this is Gary - the woman's dog is posted on my GSD site. I heard from Dawn yesterday and she's received over 80 emails from people interested in the male, so now she has her hands full trying to sort through them all to try to find the home best suited to the dog.

It's my understanding she is putting the dog up for adoption because she is overwhelmed, having just begun hospice care on one of her parents who is terminally ill.

Add 80+ emails on top of that and now you're overwhelmed and then some. It's an unfortunate situation for sure, but there appears to be an abundance of people able to put the dog to work so hopefully it will end well for everyone, including Lucious.

Thanks for update:

I will pass that on to the man who ask to be the new owner..I understand that Dawn is recovering herself from HEART SURGERY so she has her hands full.

Hope it works out for all.

THe breeder gave her blessing for this dog to be rehomed according to my info .
