These hips were evaluated as OFA FAIR.
What do you think?
I think that evaluation like this sucks. This is not my dog but I wish it would be. I have promissed to the owner not to disclose the identity.

1. Looks like the dog it missing a nut at 65 mos, (they probably counted off for that)
2. Most vets say the GSD’s (and all other large breed dogs) are prone to develop HD,. so they figured the dog would be fair or bad in a few years anyhow.
3. One of the Radiologists went to school with the vet that submitted these x-rays.
4. Part of the dog’s tail is missing????? Count off for that!!
5. One of The Radiologist is a member of PETA or related to a PETA supporter. They were hoping that, if the dog gets less than a good the owner will not breed the dog.
6. OFA pays me $10 to look at this x-ray. I don’t have time for this crap.
7. I can’t see, where are my bifocals? Now what was I looking at. Will someone answer that damn phone, it’s probably OFA again.
8. Is this dog related to Dinky? I told Ronnie to stop breeding his damn dog.
9. How come the left leg is longer and bigger than the right leg?
10. Its Friday!!!!!!

I had very simliar experience and hip x-ray on my dog was also VERy similar to the one pictured on this post. The vet told me my dog would at least get an OFA Good rating, and probably an OFA Excellent.....well it came back as fair!
Couldn't believe it!
Then, Sent the x-rays to the OVC and the hips passed.
Will not use OFA in the future. They are inconsistent, IMO.
