I would like to get some opinions on Nutri Source, Large Breed Adult Chicken & Rice Formula.  Has anyone here had any negative experiences with this food?

Ingredients:  Chicken, chicken meal, brown rice, barley, white rice, natural flavors, beet pulp, chicken fat (preserved with mixed tocopherols and citric acid), oatmeal, fish meal (a source of fish oil), dried egg product, brewers yeast, flax seeds, potassium chloride, salt, minerals (zinc proteinate, iron proteinate, copper proteinate, manganese proteinate, cobalt proteinate, selenium yeast), yeast culture (saccharomyces cerevisiae, enterococcus faecium, lactobacillus acidophilus, aspergillus niger, bacillus subtillis), vitamins (vitamin A acetate, vitamin D3 supplement, vitamin E supplement, niacin, d-calcium pantothenate, thiamine mononitrate, pyridoxine hydrochloride, riboflavin supplement, folic acid, biotin, vitamin B12 supplement), glucosamine hydrochloride, ascorbic acid (vitamin C), chondroitin sulfate, chline chloride, yucca schidigera extract, calcium iodate, rosemary extract.

I have been using it for over six months with good experience. The dogs like it, good stools, and their coats and skin are the best that I have ever seen.

The red in my dogs' coats actually became deeper in color, and the hair is so soft that you won't believe it.

I had been using Royal Canin GSD 24 before and it got so expensive that it was out of reason.

Awful lot of rice, and I'd definitely pass on anything with white rice in it.

i don't know where you got your ingredient list, but every one that i have ever seen for nutrisource has menadione listed-----which is why i won't feed it.  http://www.dogfooddirect.com/category_01AD_NutriSource-Dog-Food--Adult.html

Ziegenfarm,  I got the ingredient listing from the bag. I made sure  it did not contain Menadione (Vitamin K) before I purchased it.  I have used Royal Canin for years until the price went up.  So far I am not seeing any problems, dogs seem to love it more than Royal Canin.

On their site: http://www.nutrisourcedogfood.com/nutrisource/products/large_breed_adult they list Menadione as one of their ingredients but not on the dog food bag.  HMMMMMMMM!  Makes me curious

White rice is heavily processed, then put into another processed food like dog kibble? No real value. There are much more nutritional grains out there, if you really want to feed something with grain, which I don't anyway.
