Could someone please answer this question,  how long should you wait for a pup's ear's to stand?  And after this time should you put ear support's in them to help them stand? And if so for how long ?  Thanks

Some take as long as up to 10 months to finally stand.   Most won't breed if they have weak ears, that have to be taped to stand.  How old is your pup?  Some will go up early, some later. My boys ears were up when he was 2  months.

Ears should be up by 4,5 - 5 months unless the dog is teething.
If they were up before that age, they will stand again after teething is finished.

If not, you should definately tape them!

Good taping practices last for 2 - 4 weeks. After taping, and for a couple of weeks, ears are a bit soft and this is normal. If, after 1 month ears are still soft you can try and re-tape but only once more!
While ears are taped you can give supplements such as Caniviton or Luposan to help build up cartilage. You can also expose the dog to new conditions that will cause his interest and force him to use his ear muscle.
You can also try to hide and call the dog.
Chew bones are also considered to help as this way the head muscles between the ears are exercising.

Good luck

I don't worry about ears until 6 months if the base is up, 5 if the base is creased and has never stood. Our two year old had floppy tips until nearly 7 months, now her ears are perfect and very firm.
