I used to raise Ornamental Pheasant and I guess I miss looking at them.
Now I need to find a few hens.

Picture stolen from an internet site........ doesn't show much tail.
This is a fully matured bird.
Something else to feed now.
This is the mating display,
Moons.

I have owned a Galah ( He truly loved my husband tooooooo much and became overly protective of him ) eventually I had to give him away.
Nanday Conure
Princess parrots
Regent Parrots
Superb Parrots (which I truly loved)
These days I am happy just to feed the wild ones of which we have plenty.

I too have birds - Lady Gouldian Finches which are the prettiest birds I know of - a green-cheek conure, and an African brown-headed Parrot. No talking, I don't like the screeching. my birds are quiet or they sing, much better.

I used to raise ornamental pheasants, regualr pheasants, wild Mallards and wild Canadian Geese, while in Minnesota. I released everything but the ornamentals. I loved them, would like to do that again, but I have to fix up my chicken coop so the darn fox stay out of here...lost all my chickens for the past 5 yrs...
Good luck with them and keep us posted...
I used to have parrots and all the other little birds too...Guess I just love all animals...snakes, salamanders, crayfish, guinea pigs, rabbits, hamsters, lizards, heck my parents never knew what animals I might have hidden in my bedroom...LOL...

We have had cockatiels, conures and macaws. Currently we are *blessed* with an outspoken macaw that has picked up many german commands.
Good luck with your beautiful, new addition, Moons.
