What about the food that ends up on the floor?
Are you saying that don't ever let dogs lick your face?
Kids are right down there at there level.
what if they lick your hand .

THE DOGS ARE GOING TO EAT IT OFF THE FLOOR BEFORE YOU CAN GET IT ANYWAY. BUT A LITTEL COLD WATER AND BLEATH WASH WITH A RAG. AND NO DOGS LICK YOUR FACE IS OK BUT DONT LET THEM MAKE A HABIT OF IT. AND IF THEY DO LICK YOU OR YOUR HAND ITS NOT GOING TO KILL YOU JUST WASH YOUR HAND AND WIPE OFF YOUR FACE.

OK thank you so then what we are saying is the bacteria is not a good thing so wherever they eat or whatever the food touches it needs to be cleaned up.
We are also saying that if your raw eating dog licks your face or your hand then just wipe it off correct?
Well I am in a wheelchair and my dogs come and nudge my arm/hand and there mouth and nose can hit my hand and my wheelchair arm rest or my control knob so you say just whipe it off and it's all good correct?
And if your grandchild gets licked on the mouth walking by max but nobody saw it then what just take out the bleach rag from your back pocket and wipe them down every 5 min. just incase they did get licked.
I am kinda hoping someone actually talks to me honestly with some better answers than above because thiis could be a seriuos
issue that like I said I don't want to be responsible for so I hope there are better ideas .

hello zin - my dogs get about 70% raw food in the form of chicken backs. have been feeding this way for over 2 years. every time i handle the chicken i wash hands with antibacterial dawn dish soap; i also use this to clean dog dishes. if my counter or kitchen floor gets some chicken juice/blood on it, i use a clorox wipe. since i have multiple dogs, they are fed in their crates.
i guess if one of them licked me right after eating, i'd wash up, but other than that i don't worry about it. but my daughter always has my granddaughters wash hands after petting dogs or horses.

Zin,
I feed my dogs outside or in their kennel. I use the same precautions when feeding my dogs raw that I use when cooking my own dinner. If I make chicken for dinner, I clean up the area when I'm finished to avoid any cross contamination. I do the same when preparing the raw food. As stated above Clorox wipes will work, or soap and water. I use stainless steel dog dishes and wash them after each meal. I don't worry about the dog kissing me or transmitting anything to me, I think it would be extremely rare. I don't feed in the house because I don't feel like mopping the floor after every meal, outside is much easier for me.
Basically, use the same procedures and common sense that you use when preparing raw food for your own dinner.
JMO,
Jim

Same thing here, dogs eat outside. I use the same precautions whenever handling raw meat, whether for human or animal consumption. I use stainless steel dishes & wash them using soap and hot water after meals. I have never worried about my dogs kissing me and have not gotten sick from it - to my knowledge anyway!!!!
